PARK HISTORY

This park is located on property leased from the state for it’s recreational value. The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail runs through it and the area has spectacular views of Cook Inlet and the surrounding mountain ranges.

Point Woronzof Overlook is a popular destination to spot whales in the inlet, watch ships traveling to and from the Port of Anchorage, and watch the jets land and takeoff from Ted Stevens International Airport.

Reservations: contact the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department at 343-4355. The Anchorage Park Foundation is not a department of the Municipality of Anchorage, and cannot process reservations!
