UPDATE

In Summer 2013, Neighbor Kelly Petersen and volunteers began fundraising and meeting with park planners to install new swings in Roosevelt Park. Construction is planned for Summer 2014.

PARK HISTORY

Roosevelt Park is one of the oldest parks in the Spenard District, dating back to the 1950’s. The park was purchased from the Spenard Utility District and named after Roosevelt Street in 1973. The park facilities were renovated in 2003.

Reservations: contact the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department at 343-4355. The Anchorage Park Foundation is not a department of the Municipality of Anchorage, and cannot process reservations!
