Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Policy

It is the policy of the Anchorage Park Foundation (APF) not to discriminate against any person who is limited English proficient (LEP); further, it is also the policy of the Anchorage Park Foundation that APF staff take reasonable steps to provide limited English proficient (LEP) persons meaningful access to APF programs and activities.

The purpose of our LEP policy is to make reasonable efforts to eliminate or reduce barriers to APF programs and activities for people who have a limited ability to speak, write, and/or understand the English language.

The Anchorage Park Foundation provides the following language assistance measures to LEP persons free of charge:

•“I speak ___” cards to APF personnel so LEP persons can identify their primary language(s);

•Language interpretation through a telephone interpretation service;

•Translation of printed materials in a timely manner available upon request.

For additional questions on APF’s LEP Policy, please contact APF Programs Manager, Andrew Mullins at (907) 249.6652 or andrew@anchorageparkfoundation.org.
