You are an ideal candidate if you are…

• Between 16-19 years old on June 4th, 2018
• Pursuing your high school or GED education

Position Description:
YEP Crew Members take part in a 10-week summer program designed to be the best first-job experience ever. Teens learn natural resource management skills by building trails and restoring stream banks, while engaging in education, civic engagement, environmental awareness, and leadership. Make lifelong friends, build your resume, and have an enjoyable, paid job outside in Anchorage’s public park lands!

YEP Senior Crew Member

Start Date: Monday, June 4th
End Date: Thursday, August 9th

• Are passionate about teamwork, education, stewardship and the outdoors
• Want to gain and exercise your leadership skills
• Enjoy working with others
• Like a good excuse to work outside!

Position Description:
Senior Crew Members will provide leadership to YEP Crew Members. They will help train YEP Crew Members to ensure they have knowledge, skills, and aptitude to complete park and trail conservation projects under supervision. Senior Crew Members will work hard, get dirty with manual labor and basic maintenance function on public park lands while having fun!

YEP Crew Leader

Apply by: Sunday, February 18th. These positions are seasonal and full-time.

Start Date: Tuesday, May 29th
End Date: Friday, August 10th

You are an ideal candidate if you…
• Are passionate about teamwork, education, stewardship and the outdoors
• Have a high school diploma or completed GED, plus one year of experience working outside with youth
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Love working outside

Position Description:
YEP Crew Leaders will lead the youth crews in trail building and park improvement projects. As chief motivators, they will be charged with delivering instructions, motivating, and supporting group moral. Crew Leaders will train and supervise YEP Crew Members to ensure they have knowledge, skills, and aptitude to complete park and trail conservation projects. YEP Crew Leaders  will work hard, get dirty, and have fun leading teens to improve their public lands!

YEP Field Educator

Apply by: Sunday, February 18th. This position is seasonal and full-time.

Start Date: Monday, May 7th
End Date: Friday, August 17th

You are an ideal candidate if you…
• Are passionate about teamwork, education, stewardship and the outdoors
• Have a high school diploma or completed GED, plus two years of experience leading, directing, or supervising youth
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Love working outside

Position Description:
The YEP Field Educator will facilitate the Youth Employment in Parks program, while connecting the crews to the natural resources through environmental education. They will lead necessary trainings, teachable moments, and education opportunities.
