You are an ideal candidate if you are…
• a resident of the Municipality of Anchorage
• between 16-19 years old on June 5th, 2017
• pursuing your high school or GED education
• ready for the best summer of your life!

Position Description:
YEP Crew Members take part in a 10-week summer program designed to be the best first-job experience ever. Teens learn natural resource management skills by building trails and restoring stream banks, while engaging in education, civic engagement, environmental awareness, and leadership. Make lifelong friends, build your resume, and have an enjoyable paying job outside in Anchorage public park lands!

YEP Senior Crew Member

• Want to gain and exercise your leadership skills
• Enjoy working with others

Position Description:
Senior Crew Members will provide leadership to YEP Crew Members. They will provide help train YEP Crew Members to ensure they have knowledge, skills, and aptitude to complete park and trail conservation projects under supervision. Senior Crew Members will work hard, get dirty with manual labor and basic maintenance function on public park lands while having fun!

YEP Project Crew Leader

Apply by: Monday, February 20th. These positions are seasonal and full-time.

Start Date: Tuesday, May 30th
End Date: Friday, August 11th

• Have experience working with youth, especially outdoors
• Are passionate about environmental stewardship and education
• Want to practice your leadership skills
• Love parks and trails!

Position Description:
YEP Project Crew Leaders will instruct, motivate, and lead crew members in their tasks each week.  They will make sure that projects stay on track and are completed, while maintaining high group moral.  They will help the Field Educator deliver and lead planned environmental education activities with the crew.

YEP Field Educator

Apply by: Monday, February 13th. This position is seasonal and full-time.

Start Date: Monday, May 1st
End Date: Friday, August 18th

• Have experience teaching and leading youth or adults
• Live for teachable moments, especially environmental education
• Love parks and trails!

Position Description:
The YEP Field Educator will connect YEP crew members and staff to the projects they’re working on through educational opportunities, examining topics such as wildlife habitats, watersheds, sustainable trails, etc. They are responsible for organizing and delivering the educational programs.
