We are lucky to have public spaces where we can exercise, play with kids, think, clear our heads or just sit for a while. Here in Spenard some neighbors got together to improve Barbara Park by getting rid of trash and graffiti, pulling out invasive species, hauling old railroad ties out of Fish Creek, painting benches and bollards and more.
Next summer we will install improved equipment and create an inclusive playground. Extra bonus: Kiwanis Fish Creek Park to the South and the Fish Creek trail are all slated for improvement over the next two years. You can be a piece of the positive change!
