Rabbit Creek Park

PARK HISTORY

The Rabbit Creek community wanted this land to become a dedicated park after losing land at Rabbit Creek Elementary School when the New Seward Highway was built in 1972. In 1983, Rabbit Creek Elementary School cleared a trail for a connection to Westwind Dr.

UPDATES

In 2006, a Challenge Grant was awarded to the Rabbit Creek Community Council and Anchorage Trails & Greenways Coalition to establish and improve the safety of a trail system in the Rabbit Creek Greenbelt.

Reservations: contact the Anchorage Parks and Recreation Department at 343-4355. The Anchorage Park Foundation is not a department of the Municipality of Anchorage, and cannot process reservations!
