Summer Concerts in the Park Series | June
The summer concert in the park series features local artists performing in neighborhoods parks across Anchorage in June and July. A partnership with the Anchorage Concert Association, this free concert series brings people together in their own neighborhoods to enjoy live music and the beauty of our parks and trails. These lively one-hour concerts will be held on six Thursdays in June and July from 7pm-8pm. Learn more.

Anchorage Mayor’s Marathon & Half Marathon

For more than 40 years, the Anchorage Mayor’s Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5K, and relay event has been a summer solstice tradition attracting runners from all over the world. Join us in 2021 for an all-new route. The in-person race takes place June 18. Virtual race option available anytime June 10-20. Register.

For many Anchorage families, the Bonny Sosa Tuesday Night Race Series is a fall tradition, as these fun runs are like no other in Anchorage. Join the Anchorage Parks & Recreation for two days of Halloween fun at Goose Lake Park. Haunted Trails on Friday, October 21 7pm – 9:30pm is intended for mature audiences (9+) and is no ordinary walk in the park and not for the faint of heart. Enchanted Trails on Saturday, October 22 1:30pm – 4:30pm is where dreams come alive as younger audiences stroll along the forest playing games, while frolicking and take pictures with forest fairies, knights gathering and hidden wizards and elves.
