Are you interested in volunteering in Anchorage parks and recreation programs? From pulling targeted invasive weeds in parks to teaching dance classes at recreation centers or simply writing a letter to the editor, there are many ways to support our local parks.
In 2010, over 1,600 volunteers contributed more than 7,000 hours of service to Anchorage parks. Join us to make a difference in our community!

In 2010-2012, more than 2,000 community volunteers like you contributed their talents and energy to improving neighborhood parks. There are multiple opportunities to volunteer, and everyone is invited to join in!
We are currently completing priority improvements identified during our 2008 and 2011 Parks Report Card initiative in which over 1,000 Anchorage residents rated our neighborhood parks.
