Downtown Public Art Walking Tour – Celebrating 50+ Years of Art in Downtown Anchorage
4 pm – Start at Anchorage Museum Entrance – 625 C Street
6 pm – End at Town Square Park – 544 W. 5th Ave
The Municipality of Anchorage turns 50 on September 16 and there are weekly events to learn from our past and help shape the future.
Celebrate 50+ years of Downtown Art with Gideon Gerlt, Curator of Public Art for the Municipality of Anchorage, Adam Baldwin, Deputy Director of Visitor Engagement for the Anchorage Museum and Diana Rhoades, Program Director for Anchorage Park Foundation.
The walking tour will focus on the public art of the Museum’s grounds, Seed Lab, 4th Ave, Egan Center and will end at Town Square Park for live music, local vendors and the company of friends and neighbors at the final Night Market of 2025.
Tour will be approximately 2 hours over a 1.5-mile walk. Meet at Anchorage Museum entrance. FREE.
