Bike Data Counter

Bike Anchorage was awarded $30,000 in matching funds by APF to initiate a bike data collection and analysis project. The group analyzed and disseminated bike data already being collected by trail counters on the Coastal Trail and the Chester Creek Trail. They also purchased, installed, collected, and analyzed data from a bike data totem. The totem was placed in a high-traffic location on the trail system, the intersection of the Chester Creek Trail and Coastal Trail at Westchester Lagoon, and displays trail use data to trail users in real time! Bike Anchorage raised their match for this project through a combination of cash donations and volunteer time.
