Anchorage Park Foundation is seeking quotes for the installation and removal of wayfinding posts located on parks and trails in three Anchorage locations:
- Government Hill Parks – 5 10×10 posts, 3 4×4 posts, 1 traffic sign, 2 removals
- Baxter Bog – 4 10×10 posts and two removals along a 2-mile trail system
- Russian Jack Springs Park – 6 posts along a 2-mile trail system
Work description for all three locations:
- Install Owner-Provided Wayfinding Posts 10×10 (PDIR.3) with Concrete Footing = 15
- Remove 6×6 Wooden Bollard = 4
- Furnish and Install 6’ 4×4 Post with Concrete Footing = 3
- Traffic Maintenance = 1
Total for three locations: 23
The attached plan set includes installation locations and details of 11 signs for the Government Hill wayfinding system, including demolition of old signs.
Plan sets for Baxter Bog and Russian Jack Springs Park will be provided to the selected contractor.
Deadline: Please submit a quote no later than 5 p.m. on June 2, 2025.
Notes:
- A site visit is required before installation to verify specific sign locations with a Parks and Recreation staff member.
- The Contractor is responsible for providing concrete used in sign footings.
- The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, transportation, and installation of all signage upon receipt of Owner-provided materials and hardware.
- The Contractor shall be responsible for all Traffic Control in all Work areas. The Contractor shall post adequate notices, approved by MOA Traffic, on trails prior to Work areas. Throughway access to pedestrians/trail users shall not be impeded.
- The Contractor is responsible for obtaining any necessary lane closure permits.
- All disturbed areas shall be stabilized with topsoil and seed. The Contractor shall remove all debris and loose material (rocks, boulders, roots, branches, etc.) from trail and lawn/turf surfaces.
- The Contractor shall be responsible for disposal of demolished posts.
- Funding and invoice processing will be managed by the Anchorage Park Foundation.
- Installation in Government Hill must be completed by June 30, 2025.
- Installation in Baxter Bog and Russian Jack Springs Park must by completed by August 31, 2025.
