Campbell Creek Trail Work Party
Thursday, June 17th from 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Volunteers are needed to beat back the invasive Bird Vetch along our trails. We are meeting near the Bear and Hiker statue at the Campbell Creek trailhead south of the municipal buildings at 4700 Elmore Road. Join volunteers with the Anchorage Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area team (ANC-CISMA), Anchorage Park Foundation and Anchorage Parks and Recreation as part of Alaska Invasive Species Awareness Week. Cemetery Bell Tower Dedication

Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery
Join us for a small dedication of the new bell tower at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. The Anchorage Park Foundation is co-hosting the dedication with the annual John Bagoy Solstice Tour put on by Stories at the Cemetery volunteers Audrey and Bruce Kelly. This popular biography tour at selected gravesites is on Father’s Day, Sunday June 20 at 4pm.
Chester Creek Trail Invasive Weed Warrior Parties
Please join the Anchorage Park Foundation to remove invasive Bird Cherry/Mayday/Chokecherry along the Chester Creek Trail. The volunteer events are sponsored by Matson’s new Caring for Alaska program. Safety vests and lunch will be provided. Volunteers will beat back invasive weeds and improve our trails.
